The Narrative Arts was launched in 2010 by journalist Steven Gardner to provide a new outlet for storytelling. The ambition is simple. Through traditional journalism, blogging, books, audio and perhaps video, we provide narrative that inspires or illuminates, sometimes both.

The stories you’ll find here are those found in every family and home in America, if not the world.

While we hope these stories here will be worthwhile on their own, we also aim to inspire other would-be story tellers to value the art in their own lives.
